Who we are
Dutch Wanderer has spent over a decade guiding travelers through the Netherlands, from Amsterdam's canal rings to the quiet flower fields of the countryside. What started as one guide showing friends-of-friends around Amsterdam has grown into a small, tight-knit team — but the way we run tours hasn't changed.
Every guide is Dutch or has lived here for years. They know which courtyard has no tourists, which bakery still bakes stroopwafels the old way, and which canal is best at golden hour. You won't get a script — you'll get a local having a genuinely good day showing you their country.
Every tour is small-group, English and Dutch-speaking, and built around real stories rather than a rushed checklist of sights. We keep groups small on purpose: enough people to feel like an outing, few enough that your guide actually knows your name.

Our guide on the Zaanse Schans tour knew everyone at the windmills by name. It felt like traveling with a local friend, not a tour group.
The Giethoorn boat tour was the highlight of our whole trip to Europe. Quiet, beautiful, and perfectly organized from start to finish.
Booked the Grand Netherlands Tour with my family. Great pace, friendly guide, and the cheese farm stop was a huge hit with the kids.
Utrecht is criminally underrated and this tour proved it. Climbing the Dom Tower for that view alone was worth the trip.
Booked the Amsterdam Highlights tour on our first day to get our bearings, and it ended up being the best three hours of the whole week.
